Grantchester saison 4

ITV vient d'annoncer qu'il y aura bien une saison 4 de Grantchester. Et avec James  Norton ! (ouf) Il s'agira d'ailleurs de sa dernière.

Good news for Grantchester fans: MASTERPIECE on PBS and ITV have announced a fourth season of the popular mystery series starring James Norton and Robson Green as the unlikely clergyman/cop duo fighting crime in the English hamlet of Grantchester in the 1950s.
These will be the final episodes for Norton’s character Sidney Chambers, the charismatic, jazz-loving vicar who has captured the hearts of millions of viewers. Casting of a new vicar will be announced at a later date. In addition to Mr. Green, returning members of Grantchester’s ensemble cast include Al Weaver, Tessa Peake-Jones and Kacey Ainsworth.
“It’s a bittersweet time for Grantchesterfans, who will be cheering the return of the series but crushed to say good-bye to James,” says MASTERPIECE Executive Producer Rebecca Eaton at WGBH Boston. “We want to assure them that the series they love will continue —with brilliant new episodes and a captivating new vicar.”
“I’m ecstatic that – with Masterpiece and ITV – we are returning to Grantchesterwith all our favourite characters,” says Kudos Executive Producer Diederick Santer. “While I’m sad that these will be James Norton’s final episodes, we will make sure he goes out with a bang. We’ve got exciting plans for where the show is heading and the vicarage won’t be vacant for long.”
Almost 11 million U.S. viewers tuned in to Grantchester’s third season to watch Sidney choosing between Amanda (Morven Christie) and the church; Detective Geordie Keating (Green) working to repair his tattered marriage; Mrs. Maguire (Peake-Jones) becoming Mrs. Chapman, and Leonard (Weaver) on the verge of finding love.
MASTERPIECE has commissioned Grantchester’s fourth season, which begins production in June in London, Cambridge, and Grantchester.

Je suis ravie d'apprendre qu'il y aura une nouvelle et dernière saison
J'avais beaucoup aimé la fin de la saison 3 et j'ai hâte de retrouver les personnages.

Quelle bonne nouvelle! Je suis triste que ce soit la dernière mais je préfère qu'ils s'arrêtent avant que ça tire en longueur et que ça parte dans tous les sens.

[Et sinon je place ça là, pas de nouvelles d'Happy Valley...?! ]

Il y aura bien une saison 3 de Happy Valley et Tommy Lee Royce reviendra mais on ne sait pas encore quand est prévue la diffusion, ni même si Sally Wainwright a commencé l'écriture du scénario ...

Tom Brittney (Outlander, Call the Midwife, Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool) will join the cast of Grantchester as Reverend Will Davenport, crime-solving partner to Robson Green’s Geordie Keating.
James Norton, who plays the charismatic, jazz-loving clergyman, Sidney Chambers, will make his final appearance during this fourth series on ITV - a co-production from Kudos and MASTERPIECE on PBS.

Commissioned by MASTERPIECE on PBS, Grantchester, series 4, is currently in production in London, Cambridge, and Grantchester.
Grantchester, series 4 is a Co-Production of Kudos, an Endemol Shine Group company, and MASTERPIECE for ITV and is distributed internationally by Endemol Shine International, which have sold the show across 162 countries. The executive producers for Kudos are Diederick Santer, Emma Kingsman-Lloyd, and Daisy Coulam. The executive producer for MASTERPIECE is Rebecca Eaton at WGBH Boston. La question que je me pose est : à quel moment Sidney partira ? A la toute fin de la saison ou avant ?

Je suis triste que James Norton quitte la série, j'espère qu'il ne la quittera pas trop tôt dans la saison  mais ce nouveau vicaire n'est pas mal du tout   

L'acteur a joué dans Call the midwife et Outlander mais sa tête ne me dit rien …

Ca va faire bizarre de regarder la prochaine saison en sachant que c'est dernière pour Sidney.

Il ne me plait pas plus que cela ce nouveau vicaire!

Le personnage de Sidney et Grantchester sont tellement associés dans mon esprit que j'ai du mal à me dire qu'un autre pasteur va venir prendre sa place. C'est un peu comme si Endeavour continuait sans Morse ...

Je suis hyper déçue de savoir que James Norton va quitter la série. Comment imaginer Grantchester sans Sidney ? Pour moi, c 'est totalement impossible...d'autant plus que le nouveau pasteur ne me plaît pas plus que ça ! Espérons que Sidney ne quitte pas la saison 4 trop tôt. Ça me gâche la bonne nouvelle du retour de Grantchester.

J'ai déjà envie de pleurer à l'idée des scènes d'adieux qui nous attendent....je ne vais pas supporter le départ de Sidney....

Nous serons là pour te soutenir et éponger tes larmes Titine!

Le tournage doit être difficile avec ces chaleurs et ces costumes. Mrs Maguire est aux petite soins.
