Girl Waits with Gun d'Amy Stewart

J'ai repéré cette petite nouveauté sur GoodReads et plusieurs blogs. Je suis plutôt tentée.

Also: Kudos to the cover artist, because this book is gorgeous.

J'ai enfin lu ce roman (qui traînait dans ma PàL depuis un an ou deux ), je l'ai trouvé très sympa !

Je ne connaissais pas du tout l'histoire de Constance Kopp avant de lire ce livre, j'ai donc adoré en apprendre plus par ce biais. Les personnages des sœurs Kopp sont d'ailleurs assez savoureux, chacune a une personnalité bien tranchée mais aussi un peu déjantée : j'ai particulièrement aimé Norma, son élevage de pigeons voyageurs et sa passion d'envoyer les faits divers sordides découpés dans le journal à ses sœurs
Le roman est écrit dans un style très agréable à lire, avec des petites pointes d'humour et un certain suspense. J'ai cependant trouvé quelques longueurs au milieu (j'ai l'impression qu'on tourne un peu en rond à un moment :

Mis à part ça, cela me donne envie de lire la suite dès que je mets la main dessus ! Surtout que les couvertures VF sont vraiment très jolies !

j'avais cherché ce topic sans résultat ...


On fait connaissance avec les sœurs Kopp dont la carriole fait la rencontre fracassante avec le véhicule d'un industriel peu commode. Entre menaces de mort, intimidations et enlèvement, les sœurs Kopp apprennent à se défendre.

C'est drôle, les personnages sont bien construits, l'écriture est dynamique. Je pense continuer cette série. Le petit plus : les personnages ont réellement existes.

Le 1er tome est sorti en 2016 !!
Je vais de ce pas rattraper mon retard ! Apparemment c'est surtout le contexte historique qui est intéressant et pas forcément les enquêtes policières, cela ne va surement pas me gêner !

Sans trop en dévoiler, je trouve cette série toujours plaisante mais cet opus marque un tournant dans la vie des sœurs Kopp et surtout pour l'adjointe au shériff.
